Ka is future-proof

Notes taken with Ka at hand tend to be future-proof. Because, at minium, your plain-text notes are expected to satisfy only these two properties:

Markdown format
Linked to one another (regular links or Wiki-links)

These two things can be done for a lifetime. Everything else (including Plugins) may come and go; but the underlying plain-text data will remain for eternity.

Filenames as title
- Why do this? Because it goes one step further to being future-proof (see Ka is future-proof), as text-editors don’t need any special processing to pull the title out of linking note to display inline. Also, avoiding redundancy further enables us to say that Ka is future-proof.

Markdown notes can be extended without compromising simplicity
- It is important to keep your notebook as simple as possible. This means no elaborate features from the start. The “core” syntax of your notebook should be as simple as possible. This enables them to be used for decades of your lives (see Ka is future-proof).
Think long-term when designing plugins
- This ensures that Ka is future-proof and remains that way for long-term.
